Northwich & The Fours Head – Saturday 14th November
A frustrating Saturday for the rowing club saw only 7 of the 21 crews entered for the Fours Head and Northwich Head get the opportunity to race due to the weather. With the fours head and the 3rd division at Northwich cancelled it fell upon the 7 crews in division 2 at Northwich to fly the King’s Chester flag. In, what was at times, appalling conditions the crews battled through, winning 2 of the 7 events entered. The J15 coxed four, racing up a status, won the novice coxed four, beating two older crews from Shrewsbury to take the event. The J14 girls coxed quad continued there good run of form to win their event for the second time in three weeks. The top boat to race this weekend, the J18 quad, were within 5 seconds of the quickest schoolboy quad of the day and will look to turn this result around at the next major event in Wallingford at the start of December.
